About the Role

Flexhive is seeking an experienced Marketing Communications Specialist to join our team on a 3-month contract. As a Marketing Communications Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting and assisting our organisation's advertising and marketing strategy, planning, coordinating, and delivering community awareness campaigns and external facing events in alignment with our Communications strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Evaluate Communication Strategies: Assist in coordinating, developing, and evaluating communication strategies and advertising campaigns to achieve our organisational goals.
  • Assist Across Campaigns: Assist across campaigns from inception to delivery, including working with our Campaigns Managers and designers to develop innovative concepts, and navigating our internal processes, as well as liaising with internal stakeholders.
  • Support Campaign Delivery: Supporting the Campaigns Managers in delivery of all components of communications strategy with an emphasis on advertising campaigns.
  • Source and Pitch Positive Stories: Working to source and pitch positive stories that engage the community and promote the work of our organisation and its staff.
  • Plan and Coordinate Events: Participating in planning and coordinating events, including sourcing and negotiating with vendors, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and assist with the coordination of operations to ensure events run smoothly.
  • Manage Online Presence: Provide sound advice and recommendations on emerging channels and platforms and assist with the day-to-day management of our organisation's website and social media pages, including monitoring, moderating and developing content and strategies to enhance its online presence.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years' experience in an advertising campaigns/marketing role.
  • Skills: Victorian Government Master Agency Media Services (MAMS) process experience or experience delivering large scale marketing or advertising campaigns in a government environment would be highly advantageous for this role.
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing or related field is required.
