About the Role

Hudson Australia is seeking an experienced Marketing Communications Specialist to join our team on a 3-month contract. As a key member of our marketing team, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing our advertising and marketing strategy, focusing on community awareness campaigns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Evaluate Communication Strategies: Assist in coordinating, planning, and delivering community awareness campaigns and external facing events in alignment with our Communications strategy.
  • Support Campaigns from Inception to Delivery: Work with our Campaigns Managers and designers to develop innovative concepts, navigate the Victorian Government Master Agency Media Services (MAMS) process, and liaise with internal stakeholders.
  • Deliver Communications Strategy Components: Support the Campaigns Managers in delivering all components of our communications strategy with an emphasis on advertising campaigns.
  • Source and Pitch Positive Stories: Work to source and pitch positive stories that engage the community and promote our work and that of our staff.
  • Plan and Coordinate Events: Participate in planning and coordinating events, including sourcing and negotiating with vendors, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, and assisting with the coordination of operations to ensure events run smoothly.
  • Manage Online Presence: Provide sound advice and recommendations on emerging channels and platforms and assist with the day-to-day management of our website and social media pages, including monitoring, moderating, and developing content and strategies to enhance our online presence.
Requirements
  • Experience in Advertising Campaigns/Marketing Role: 5+ years' experience in an advertising campaigns/marketing role.
  • Victorian Government Master Agency Media Services (MAMS) Process Experience: Victorian Government Master Agency Media Services (MAMS) process experience or experience delivering large-scale marketing or advertising campaigns in a government environment would be highly advantageous for this role.
  • Proven Relationships with Key Media: Proven relationships with key media and knowledge of media and social media processes and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary Qualification in Communications/Marketing: Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, or related field is required.
  • Victorian Government Master Agency Media Services (MAMS) Process Experience: Victorian Government Master Agency Media Services (MAMS) process experience highly regarded.
