Lead Water Strategist

About the Role

This key position plays a crucial role in developing and implementing a water strategy for all operating mine sites. The successful candidate will manage water licences and approvals through safe and effective management of technical, financial, and human resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of water strategy standards and targets
  • Management of Water Access Licence (WAL) and iWAS account compliance
  • Governance over hydraulic and hydrological modelling including water balance models, flood studies, and groundwater models used for operations, compliance, and approvals
  • Contribution to the development of HSE 5-year plan ensuring clear integration with water management outcomes and the HSE Strategy
