Job Overview

The opportunity exists for an experienced Risk and Compliance Manager to join our team and provide high-quality support across all facets of operational risk and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior leaders to embed a strong risk management culture, implement robust frameworks, and ensure compliance with changing legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic advice on regulatory, risk, and compliance matters.
  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of risk and compliance frameworks.
  • Educate and engage teams to promote a strong risk and compliance culture.
  • Manage and monitor risk practices, ensuring risk issues are identified and prioritised.
  • Support the business in applying and maintaining the Risk Management Framework.
  • Assess regulatory changes and provide actionable guidance for implementation.
  • Review communications, disclosure documents, and marketing materials for compliance.
  • Provide technical advice to support decision-making and regulatory interpretation.
  • Oversight of project risks, ensuring initiatives align with compliance obligations.
  • Prepare risk reporting and insights for executive leaders and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant certifications such as RG146 or Diploma of Superannuation Management.
  • Extensive experience in operational risk and compliance, preferably within superannuation or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements across super, managed investments, and IDPS.
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory reforms.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence and support senior leaders and teams.
  • Able to deliver in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to delivering client-focused outcomes.
