About the Role

Reporting to the Head of HR Compliance & Employee Relations, you will be part of the Line 1 Risk team for the P&C team. Your focus will be to assist with the design, implementation and embedding of our risk and compliance frameworks, supporting the People and Culture function here at Sportsbet.

The Risk & Compliance Specialist will drive compliance related activities, quality assurance and operational control testing across our P&C function to build and continuously review, enhance and finetune our systems and processes to ensure we comply with our regulatory obligations and priorities.

The Risk & Compliance Specialist will directly interface with the business as well as Line 2 representatives and members of the Legal, Risk and Compliance Team by seeking legal and compliance advice. Such advice is then translated into direction and guidelines which can be operationalised by those front-line teams.

Responsibilities
  • Implement Line 1 and 2 and compliance policies and processes to ensure that regulatory obligations and commercial risks are appropriately identified, assessed, reported and monitored through control testing.
  • Collaborate with teammates to ensure our departments have strong control environments, effectively managing risks and compliance obligations.
  • Act as a key point of contact for breach & incident investigations and work with SMEs (e.g. P&C, Line 2 representatives, Legal Risk and Compliance Team) towards resolution, communication and alignment.
  • Conduct reviews/oversee assurance of P&C key business processes and controls to ensure continued adherence to and effective implementation of policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Ensure alignment with the proven policies and frameworks of Flutter Entertainment Group.
About You
  • Proactive, hands-on delivery style, including preparing and socialising compliance related dashboards and other materials.
  • Demonstrated track record in implementing risk and compliance management practices within a similar internal governance function, preferably within People & Culture.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with internal controls, including proper design and implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with risk management, including proper identification and articulation of people obligations.
  • Experience leading and contributing to cross-functional governance initiatives through matrix dependencies. Ability to develop and deploy quality assurance and audit style reviews and testing in high volume environments.
