Desktop Support Officer Job Description

This role involves providing onsite and on-call assistance to end-users within the organisation's desktop computing environment. The successful candidate will ensure optimal service delivery by troubleshooting issues in a timely and accurate fashion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot computer OS/peripherals issues
  • Handle PC Operating Systems (Windows 7/8 and 10)
  • Perform hardware/software installations using SCCM
  • Manage SOE and group policies
  • Provide printer support
  • Install and troubleshoot MS Office tools
  • Deliver excellent customer service and people skills
  • Support a variety of technologies and services
  • Solve complex technical issues applicable to Windows, Apple, and virtual operating systems

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience
  • Possess advanced technical abilities, including solid troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage time and resources effectively
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office applications, PC/Laptop hardware, and mobile devices
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, and SCCM
  • Hold at least two of the following certifications: PC/Laptop OEM Maintenance Certification, CompTIA A+ Certification, MCITP certification, or MOS Certification

Estimated Salary:$65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
