Job Opportunity: Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to perform day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting regular inspections of mechanical systems and components
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues to ensure optimal system performance
  • Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety standards
  • Providing technical support to internal teams and customers

Requirements:

  • Australian Trade qualification in Engineering – Mechanical or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years post-trade experience as a Service Technician in industrial settings
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills for documentation and communication
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills (English)

Prioritized Qualifications:

  • Dual Trade Certificate (electrical and mechanical) with relevant work experience
  • Previous experience working with logistics, postal sorting, and baggage handling systems
  • Experience maintaining mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in industrial environments
  • Knowledge of automation technologies, including conveyors and sortation systems
  • Strong motivation and interest in professional development and growth
