About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate individual to work as an Enrolled Nurse in our regional town. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing person-centred care to patients and clients, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and compassionate care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Assist in the evaluation of nursing care through provision of information, documentation, and reporting changes in patient conditions.
  • Act as a preceptor to other enrolled nurses, undergraduates, Assistants in Nursing, and work experience students as appropriate.
  • Work within own scope of practice and seek support, learning, and education where required.
  • Administer medications in accordance with NSW Health and Far West LHD policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current Endorsed Enrolled Nurse registration with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated application of professional and ethical boundaries in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement person-centred care.
  • Ability to identify and resolve conflict with professional conduct.
  • Commitment to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and communities to improve health outcomes.
  • Participation in professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and sharing expertise.
  • Understanding of evidence-based practice and its impact on practice and policies within the organisation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective written and verbal communication within a multidisciplinary team.
