We really aren't that far away - only 3 hours' drive from Mildura, 5 hours from Adelaide or a short flight from anywhere in Australia with everything you need right at your front door

Responsibilities
  • Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, provide safe, compassionate, person-centred care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve quality care outcomes for patients and clients.
  • Assist in the evaluation of nursing care through provision of information, documentation and reporting changes in patient's conditions and participation in Unit meetings and discussions.
  • Act as a preceptor to other enrolled nurses, undergraduates, Assistants in Nursing and work experience students as appropriate.
  • Work within own scope of practice and seek support, learning and education where required.
  • Where the occupant of the position is medication endorsed, administer medications in accordance with NSW Health and Far West LHD policies and procedures.

  • Current Endorsed Enrolled Nurse registration with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated application of professional and ethical boundaries in a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Ability to identify and resolve conflict with professional conduct.
  • Commitment to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and communities to improve health outcomes.
  • Participation in professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and sharing expertise.
  • Understanding of evidence-based practice and its impact on practice and policies within the organisation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective written and verbal communication within a multidisciplinary team.
