Relevance Located in far west NSW, this role offers rural health service delivery and opportunities to work across multiple areas with a supportive team.

Responsibilities
  • Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, provide safe, compassionate, person-centred care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve quality care outcomes for patients and clients.
  • Assist in the evaluation of nursing care through documentation and reporting changes in patient conditions, plus participation in Unit meetings and discussions.
  • Act as a preceptor to other enrolled nurses, undergraduates, Assistants in Nursing and work experience students as appropriate.
  • Work within own scope of practice and seek support, learning and education where required.
  • Where applicable, administer medications in accordance with NSW Health and Far West LHD policies and procedures.

  • Current Endorsed Enrolled Nurse registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated application of professional and ethical boundaries in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated evidence-based practice and critical thinking to advocate for person-centred care.
  • Capacity to identify and resolve conflict and maintain professional interactions.
  • Commitment to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and families to improve health outcomes.
  • Evidence of participation in professional development and a willingness to share expertise with colleagues.
  • Understanding of evidence-based practice and its impact on practice and policy.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
