Responsibilities
Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, provide safe, compassionate, person-centred care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve quality care outcomes for patients and clients.
Assist in the evaluation of nursing care through provision of information, documentation and reporting changes in patient's conditions and participation in Unit meetings and discussions.
Act as a preceptor to other enrolled nurses, undergraduates, Assistants in Nursing and work experience students as appropriate.
Work within own scope of practice and seek support, learning and education where required.
Where the occupant of the position is medication endorsed, administer medications in accordance with NSW Health and Far West LHD policies and procedures.

Current Endorsed Enrolled Nurse registration with AHPRA.
Demonstrated application of professional and ethical boundaries in a multi-disciplinary team.
Demonstrated application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement person-centred care.
Ability to identify and resolve conflict with professional conduct.
Commitment to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and communities to improve health outcomes.
Participation in professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and sharing expertise.
Understanding of evidence-based practice and its impact on practice and policies within the organisation.
Strong interpersonal skills and effective written and verbal communication within a multidisciplinary team.
