We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Training and Development Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of training programs for social services professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver training programs for Team Decision Making (TDM) meeting facilitation, ensuring that all staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively facilitate TDMs.
- Coordinate scheduling of training sessions throughout the state, ensuring that all staff have access to training opportunities.
- Train TDM participants on their roles and responsibilities in TDMs, ensuring that they understand the importance of their contributions to the team.
- Monitor progress of employees throughout the training program, providing feedback and coaching to ensure that they meet the required standards.
- Create training materials and update attendance records in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Observe and assess trainers for the fidelity of TDM facilitation, providing coaching and feedback to improve their skills.
- Collaborate with program managers, other trainers, and QA/CQI analysts to develop observation tools for ongoing assessment.
- Provide written feedback to TDM facilitators, highlighting areas of strength and weakness.
- Consult with program managers, staff, and regional leads to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
- Nine (9) years of progressively responsible experience in administering, developing, supervising, delivering family and child-related social services, delivering training or facilitating team meetings.
- OR A Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, social science, business administration, public administration, public health, health administration, or a related field AND (5) five years of progressively responsible experience in planning, administering, developing, supervising, or delivering family and child-related social services delivering training or facilitating team meetings.
- OR A Master's degree in social work, psychology, social science, health care, or a related field AND (3) three years of progressively responsible experience, administering, developing, supervising, or delivering family and child-related social services delivering training or facilitating team meetings.
- Exhibit a relentless commitment to anti-racism and addressing diversity, disproportionality, and inequity in child and family serving systems.
- Experience with state and federal statutes and WACs related to child protection, confidentiality, and child welfare.
- Experience with DCYF child welfare programs and policies.
- Demonstrated understanding of the importance of cross-system coordination and communication.
- Experience with training others.
- Experience with participating or facilitating family meetings.
- Demonstrated understanding of confirmatory bias or selective thinking in decision-making and knowledge of best practice that challenges bias.
- Demonstrated knowledge of other community agency programs that impact service delivery to children and families.
