Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing centre based or outreach services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.

The successful candidate will have the ability to undertake assessment, triage, and prioritisation based on presenting needs, using a trauma-informed person-centred approach.

This is a full-time employment opportunity until June 2026 at Level 4 of the SCHADS Award.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide centre based or outreach services using a trauma-informed person-centred approach.
  • Work within a team managed rostered program that delivers planned support and service continuity.
  • Develop support and health care plans.
  • Advocate, liaise, and build mutually beneficial working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Hold a formal qualification relevant to the role or demonstrated experience working in a community-based environment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge or capacity to acquire knowledge of a solution-focused and problem-solving approach to crisis, planned support, and advocacy.
  • Demonstrate engagement and interpersonal skills through a non-judgemental approach when working with people in crisis situations and who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
  • Demonstrate ability to use effective verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to advocate with community and government services.
