Job Title: Executive Manager

About the Role:

This is a senior leadership position within the Commonwealth Bank Group, responsible for leading a team of finance professionals in the Business Banking division. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, with experience in financial control, management, and accounting. They will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and support to the CommSec business, while also ensuring the effective governance and control environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of finance professionals to deliver high-quality financial services to the CommSec business.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and improve financial performance.
  • Provide expert advice on financial matters to senior stakeholders, including the General Manager Finance – EBB and CommSec.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the effective governance and control environment.
  • Collaborate with other teams to deliver business outcomes and drive continuous process improvement.

Requirements:

  • 10 years of post-graduate experience in finance, with a strong background in financial control, management, and accounting.
  • Accounting qualification – CPA or CA.
  • Excellent people management skills and experience.
  • Experience across a broad range of finance disciplines, including financial control, management, and financial accounting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness, analytical ability, and experience.
  • High degree of problem-solving and analytical ability with a close attention to detail.
  • Risk Mindset – All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.
