Opportunity to Elevate Customer Experience and Transform Operations

Commonwealth Bank is seeking a skilled professional to join our newly created team as a Director of Strategic Delivery and Client Experience. In this role, you will have the opportunity to elevate our customer experience while transforming our operations.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the execution of strategy, delivery, and implementation of products, processes, and projects based on the needs of our Institutional Banking Transaction Banking Solutions team. You will work closely with stakeholders across the Group to contribute to the overall success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Executive Director, Client Experience & Account Managed Diversified with the execution of key strategic initiatives.
  • Be a lead interface for Transaction Banking Solutions and collaborate with key stakeholders across all areas of the Group.
  • Support the business to best understand the landscape for projects and initiatives that impact Transaction Banking Solutions.
  • Collaborate with Transaction Banking Solutions and other teams in the organisation to influence and ensure effective delivery of transaction banking solutions.
  • Actively contribute to the team to ensure a positive team culture and support a safe and diverse workplace.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory developments, and market changes to inform business decisions.
  • Identify and take accountability for delivering continuous improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Self-starter with a results-oriented mindset and a track record of achieving targets.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with financial and/or data modelling, or process engineering.
  • Knowledge of transaction banking products and services, including payments, cash management, and merchant solutions.
  • Ability to ask curious questions and elicit deep understanding.
  • Effective role-modelling and leadership of our Client Focus, Innovation, and Risk Culture.
  • Risk Mindset – All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss, and act on current and future risks.
  • Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, business administration, information technology, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in finance transformation, financial services, information technology, consulting, transaction banking, or a related field.
