The Laboratory Supervisor is a senior role responsible for overseeing daily laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and managing audit processes.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all tests are conducted in accordance with AS 1289, AS 1012, and AS 1141 standards.
- Manage the scheduling and execution of tests on soils, aggregates, concrete, and other construction materials.
- Deliver accurate and timely test results to clients while maintaining quality control standards.
- Lead, mentor, and train laboratory staff to maintain high technical competency.
- Implement and maintain internal quality control procedures to ensure testing reliability.
- Oversee calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment to uphold testing accuracy.
- Promote a culture of safety within the laboratory and adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Minimum Diploma in Laboratory Operations or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in geotechnical and construction materials testing.
- Proficiency in conducting various laboratory tests and operating relevant equipment.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
