Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our laboratory team. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Routine receipting and processing of specimens, including operation and maintenance of analysers.
  • Pre and post analytical specimen handling, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Identification and prioritisation of urgent specimens, ensuring timely results.
  • Filing and storage of specimens, as well as data entry, to maintain accurate records.
  • Assisting Scientists in the Lab as required, providing support and expertise.
  • Continuous learning of processing requirements for different types of samples and tests, staying up to date with the latest developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Specimen processing and data entry experience.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to cope and thrive in a busy environment, working effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate as part of a team.
  • Understanding the importance of following procedures accurately and adhering to departmental and organisational policies and procedures.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

This role requires a great blend of skills, including specimen processing and data entry experience, excellent customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
