Chemical Analyst

Our laboratory requires a skilled technician to perform various duties including wine analysis, data gathering, and equipment maintenance. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 3 years of experience and relevant higher qualification.

We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, who can maintain safe working practices at all times and has the ability to work independently.

• Gather and organize diverse data sets and physical samples.
• Create experimental setups and customize devices while ensuring compliance with standards.
• Perform wine analysis including enzymatic tests, ferment tracking, and juice/wine assessments.
• Prepare and standardize reagents and standard solutions for laboratory use.
• Maintain, adjust, and verify the accuracy of testing instruments.
• Perform mathematical computations and measurements related to chemical analysis.
• Design science presentations and experimental demonstrations and document findings through visual aids like charts and diagrams.
• Handle and manage laboratory supplies, conduct sample tests, and observe usage reports.
• Execute scientific analyses in varied environments to validate hypotheses.
• Conduct laboratory experiments, tests, and chemical analyses as required by the winemaking team.
• Record all analytical data and maintain clear, organized lab records.
• Monitor, test, and control the quality and quantity of laboratory supplies, cellar stock, and additives.
• Calibrate, check, and maintain lab testing equipment and ensure optimal performance.

• At least 3 years of experience.
• Relevant higher qualification.
• Strong work ethic and mindset to employ safe working practices at all times.
• Able to work independently.

• Full-time position (at least 38 hours per week).
