Expert Cost Analyst Role

We are seeking a skilled Cost Management Professional to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality cost management services.

As an experienced Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of feasibility cost plans, cost benchmarking, and early-stage financial modeling to support project decision-making and investment analysis. You will also provide support in contract administration processes, including the validation of contractor progress claims, review of cost variations, and ensuring alignment with contract terms and project milestones.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contractual frameworks and cost drivers across sectors such as buildings, infrastructure, and heavy civils. They will also possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of detailed cost reports and budget monitoring tools.">
  • Support senior consultants and industry specialists in developing expert reports by analyzing project data, compiling evidence, and drafting clear, well-structured content.">
  • Contribute to the assessment of project delays and cost impacts, working closely with senior consultants to analyze time and cost data for use in variation claims and dispute resolution.">
  • Provide technical input on cost and contract-related clauses, and support advice to clients on risk mitigation, procurement strategies, and commercial terms.">

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience as a quantity surveyor or in cost roles, with knowledge of claims and disputes (highly desirable).">
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction management, quantity surveying, cost management, construction law, or equivalent.">
  • Demonstrated ability in analyzing and preparing cost claims.">
  • Experience in managing client expectations and demonstrated stakeholder management.">
  • Proven experience using software such as Power BI, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project & CostX.">
