Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cost Manager and Claims Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for supporting the delivery of expert cost management and quantity surveying services across complex infrastructure, construction, and engineering projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience in cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and claims analysis. They will also have strong analytical and stakeholder management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Support senior consultants and industry specialists with cost-related tasks and deliverables.
  • Contribute to the preparation of detailed estimates, cost reports, and budget monitoring tools.
  • Validate progress claims, review cost variations, and ensure alignment with contract terms and project milestones.
  • Assist in the assessment of project delays and cost impacts, working with senior consultants to analyze time and cost data.
  • Provide technical input on cost and contract-related clauses, and support advice to clients on risk mitigation and commercial terms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare feasibility cost plans, cost benchmarking, and early-stage financial modeling.
  2. Support contract administration processes, including validation of contractor progress claims.
  3. Contribute to the preparation of detailed cost reports and budget monitoring tools.
  4. Assist with final account preparation and post-construction reconciliations.
  5. Prepare procurement-related documentation, including tender schedules and pricing templates.

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years' relevant experience as a quantity surveyor or in cost roles.
  • Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability in analyzing and preparing cost claims.
  • Experience in managing client expectations and demonstrated stakeholder management.
