Job Role Overview

The role of a Senior Estimator is critical in the construction industry. As a Senior Civil Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare comprehensive cost plans for client proposals by analyzing project drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Collect and assess data on materials, labor, and subcontractor pricing to ensure cost control.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to obtain and validate pricing information.
  • Review project budgets and recommend adjustments to maintain cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian standards, building codes, and workplace health and safety requirements.
Essential Requirements:
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proven experience as an Estimator within the residential construction industry.
  • Qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Proficient in estimating software and spreadsheet applications.
  • Prior hands-on experience as a Construction Estimator in the Australian building sector.
