Job Title: Supermarket Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Supermarket Operations Manager to assist the Store Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our supermarket. This role requires strong leadership and team management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in inventory management and financial reporting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the supermarket including supervising and coordinating staff to ensure smooth and efficient store operations
  • Manage inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained and products are displayed attractively
  • Ensure high standards of customer service are met and maintain a positive work environment
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally
  • Implement and monitor promotional activities and sales targets
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of staff
  • Perform cash handling and financial reporting duties

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Store Manager or similar role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Proficient in inventory management and financial reporting with ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
