As a supermarket deli manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our deli department. This includes ensuring that all administrative tasks are completed in accordance with company policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for monitoring the performance of team members and 2ICs, and implementing weekly rosters that align with store trading patterns.

Some of your key responsibilities will include maintaining employment levels by liaising with the store manager to recruit and select team members, and overseeing the ordering, receiving, and storage of all stock in line with company policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for analysing period trading reports and identifying opportunities for improvement in department profitability.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to build strong working relationships with your team. You will also need to have a sound knowledge of supermarket best practice, as well as experience in managing a team and inventory management.
