Midwife Opportunity in Remote NT Communities

We are seeking an experienced Registered Midwife to provide treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities. This locum-based role offers short-term placements where you will work on-site in remote clinics, delivering culturally safe, high-quality care in collaboration with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.

The program is dedicated to strengthening healthcare services in remote communities across the Northern Territory. As a midwife, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the health and wellbeing of remote communities and develop skills in a unique healthcare setting.

What's Required
  • Evidence of unrestricted registration as a registered nurse and registered midwife with AHPRA.
  • Minimum of 3 years of postgraduate experience in midwifery.
  • Minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of 250 hours of relevant clinical experience within the past 12 months.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Current recognised Immunisation certificate.
  • Current Northern Territory Working with Children's Card (or willingness to obtain).
