Remote General Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Practitioner to deliver high-quality, culturally safe primary health care across remote regions of Australia.

This role offers a unique chance to work within a multidisciplinary team, providing clinical services at local community health centres and regional aged care facilities.

The successful candidate will contribute to a holistic model of care addressing a wide range of health needs including chronic disease, mental health, maternal and child health, and aged care.

  • Delivering clinical consultations and care planning

  • Supporting healthcare billing through health assessments and care arrangements

  • Maintaining accurate and detailed clinical records using digital health systems

  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives

  • Providing clinical supervision to medical students or registrars where required

About the Role

The ideal candidate is a fully registered medical practitioner with a strong commitment to culturally respectful practice.

Key requirements include:

  • Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM (essential)

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary work

  • Competence in digital health systems

  • Advanced skills in emergency medicine, obstetrics, or other rural generalist disciplines (desirable)

  • Healthcare billing experience

  • A current driver's license

  • Eligibility to obtain a National Police Clearance

  • Willingness to travel by 4WD or light aircraft across remote regions
