Job Role: General Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate General Practitioner to join our team in remote NT communities. As a GP, you will provide high-quality care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, working closely with local healthcare providers.

About the Role:
  • This is a unique opportunity to work in a culturally safe environment, delivering treatment to patients in need.
  • You will have the support of a multidisciplinary team, including Aboriginal Health Practitioners, nurses, and other health professionals.
  • The role offers flexible short-term placements, ranging from 3 to 12 weeks, based in remote clinics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering culturally safe, high-quality care to patients in remote clinics.
  • Working collaboratively with local healthcare providers to improve patient outcomes.
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Fellowship with either Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
  • Minimum of 250 hours of relevant full-time clinical experience as a General Practitioner within the past 12 months.
  • Evidence of completion of current and previous triennium requirements and active participation in continuing education recognised by RACGP QA & CPD or ACRRM PDP.
  • Evidence of current professional indemnity insurance as a General Practitioner (Level 1)
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
