Property Portfolio Underwriting Analyst

The role supports Property, Energy and Marine General Insurance markets in Australia and New Zealand by supporting portfolios and helping execute underwriting strategies to drive profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Aligning Property and Marine teams for unified operations
  • Developing policy wording approaches
  • Managing and working with risk engineering insights
  • Providing analysis for market-facing leadership
  • Leading portfolio improvement initiatives
  • Monitoring tactical plans and adapting global strategies to local markets

The successful candidate will have a strong background in general insurance, specifically underwriting, and excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

They will also have a solid grasp of governance, risk management, and relevant legal frameworks, as well as a growth mindset – open to new challenges, resilient, and committed to continuous improvement.

Requirements:
  • Experience in general insurance, specifically underwriting

  • Track record of executing strategic plans and company initiatives
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Strong business acumen and financial management skills
  • Solid grasp of governance, risk management, and relevant legal frameworks

  • ANZII CIP member or equivalent qualification
