The head office of IIS is located in the beautiful Southern Highlands, an hour and a half southwest of Sydney, with an additional office situated in the Brisbane CBD. Opportunities exist in VIC, NSW, and QLD; however, you will need to be willing to travel to our offices regularly. Schedule to be agreed upon.

$80,000 – $100,000 per year

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with team members to analyze and assess risks, ensuring accurate underwriting decisions.
  • Underwrite new business, renewals, and endorsements in line with your underwriting authority level.
  • Build strong, effective relationships with brokers and clients.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
About you
  • Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
  • Ability to underwrite in accordance with risk appetite, delegated underwriting authority, underwriting guidelines, and our business license.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Excellent computer/technical skills.
  • Underwriting experience is an advantage but not essential.
