Senior Underwriter, Professional Liability

Description

The Senior Underwriter plays a pivotal role in managing underwriting operations. They are responsible for mentoring and developing junior team members while ensuring the delivery of high-quality service to clients.

This role involves analyzing data to make informed decisions regarding portfolio performance and profitability. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. They must also be proficient in Microsoft Office and have a solid understanding of insurance regulations.

In addition to their technical expertise, the Senior Underwriter will be expected to travel as required by the business and contribute to the development of underwriting strategies.

Key tasks and responsibilities include underwriting new and existing business within company guidelines, preparing reports on portfolio performance, and participating in audits and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will be organized, methodical, and deadline-oriented, with a strong analytical mind and attention to detail.
