Occupational Safety Specialist

The role of the Occupational Safety Specialist is to provide expertise and support to develop, implement, and continuously improve our Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) systems and practices. This involves ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and ISO 45001 certification standards.

  • Establish and enhance WHS management systems, incorporating best practices from MYOSH and other relevant tools
  • Provide accurate and timely WHS guidance to operational teams to foster a safe working environment
  • Support the development and maintenance of WHS documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Site Work Method Statements (SWMS)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure ISO 45001 compliance through audits, investigations, and continuous improvement activities
  • Contribute to safety reporting, investigations, and data analysis to inform WHS strategies and initiatives
  • Promote a proactive, risk-aware culture across all levels of the organization
