Health and Safety Coordinator Role

The role of Health and Safety Coordinator is pivotal in fostering a positive safety culture within an organization. Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will collaborate with Laboratory Managers and Project Managers to develop and implement effective Health and Safety systems and strategies.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Work Health and Safety Legislation, acts, regulations, codes of practice, and standards. Experience in Health and Safety, preferably on project work, is highly desirable. The role requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with stakeholders to develop and review relevant safety strategies
  • Conducting internal audits and site inspections
  • Maintaining Health and Safety reporting systems
  • Assisting with Return-to-Work Coordination
  • Conducting Health, Safety, and Environmental performance monitoring
