Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned leader to fill the role of Maintenance Superintendent at our CPP1 facility.

This position is critical in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our Coal Preparation Plant through strong leadership, proactive planning, and execution excellence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading a high-performing maintenance team to achieve safe and sustainable outcomes.
  • Overseeing maintenance strategies, planning, and execution for the CPP1 facility.
  • Driving compliance with statutory, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Ensuring asset reliability, availability, and performance through preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Bolstering capability and engagement across your team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with operations, engineering, and reliability teams to meet production targets.

Achieving these objectives requires a results-driven leader who thrives in dynamic environments. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Proven leadership experience in maintenance within mining, heavy industry, or processing environments.
  • Degree or trade qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Current Queensland Coal Mining Supervisor S123 certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong technical knowledge of fixed plant maintenance (preferably coal preparation plants).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and develop diverse teams.
  • Strong focus on safety, continuous improvement, and operational discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience with SAP, CMMS, or equivalent maintenance management systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
