Job Summary

The role of Maintenance Superintendent is pivotal in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of the Coal Preparation Plant. This position requires a strong leader to oversee maintenance strategies, planning, and execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a high-performing maintenance team to deliver safe and sustainable outcomes.
  • Oversee maintenance strategies, planning, and execution for the CPP1 facility.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and environmental obligations.
  • Drive asset reliability, availability, and performance through preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Build capability and engagement across your team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and reliability teams to achieve production targets.
About You

We are looking for an experienced leader who thrives in dynamic environments. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • A proven track record of leadership experience in maintenance within mining, heavy industry, or processing environments.
  • A degree or trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Current Queensland Coal Mining Supervisor S123 (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong technical knowledge of fixed plant maintenance (preferably coal preparation plants).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and develop diverse teams.
  • A strong focus on safety, continuous improvement, and operational discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience with SAP, CMMS, or equivalent maintenance management systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
