The Role

We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our talented Kitchen Team at Peppers Manor House. As a key member of our culinary team, you will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and flair in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage your own section, ensuring seamless service delivery and assisting with other sections as required.
  • Control the pass when needed and maintain food costs within budget.
  • Ensure high-quality presentation of food, adhering to property standards and service timeframes.
  • Lead, train, and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Support menu preparation, stock control, and ordering as required.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, prioritizing high food safety standards.

About You

We are looking for a highly driven, creative, and passionate individual who is excited about using local produce to create memorable dining experiences for our guests. You will be reliable, calm, and able to think critically, with a strong emphasis on quality and presentation.

Requirements:

  • Formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Demi Chef, minimum 18 months.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team.
  • A confident and creative cooking style, with a strong emphasis on quality and presentation.
  • Experience in catering for conferences and events is highly regarded.
  • Ability to deliver consistent, high-quality food while motivating and empowering junior kitchen team members.
  • Flexible approach to adapting to guest requests and managing dietary requirements.
  • Strong time management skills, impeccable attention to detail, and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to food safety legislation and HACCP.
