
Director of Evidence-Based Practice

The role of Assistant Director is a pivotal position that requires the individual to assume responsibility for undertaking detailed or sensitive projects. This involves utilising expertise in evidence-based practice, knowledge translation, and implementation science to support agency projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Utilising expertise in evidence-based practice, knowledge translation, and implementation science to support agency projects.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to translate research into actions.
- Leading internal capability activities designed to support evidence-informed decision-making, including online learning and community of practice.
- Developing resources to communicate research findings.
- Maintaining project records using research software or platforms.
- Preparing and presenting internal reports, including slide-pack summaries for stakeholders, and communicating recommendations to stakeholders based upon the findings.
To succeed in this role, candidates will require:
- Bachelor level qualifications in public health, disability, psychology, allied health, or other related disciplines (PhD or post-grad qualifications preferred).
- A good understanding of evidence-based decision-making.
- Experience conducting systematic reviews is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience preparing and presenting reports to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
