Front Desk Coordinator

The Front Desk Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring efficient registration of all patients presenting at the Emergency Department. This includes greeting and welcoming patients, directing them to the appropriate area or person, or personally attending to their needs.
This is a 24/7 service requiring the ability to work on a rotating roster.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain a clean and organized reception desk at all times
- Register patients in a timely manner, confirming Medicare eligibility as required
- Support the Patient Liaison & Admission teams with admissions into the Hospital
- Demonstrate intermediate skills in IT systems, including MS Office and databases
- Work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Certificate III in Health Administration or 2 years' experience in health administration roles (preferred)
- Aptitude to multitask and work to timelines
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Exceptional customer service, responding to patients and stakeholders in a timely, efficient, friendly, and courteous manner
- Fluency in English with well-developed oral and written communication
- Good standard of computer literacy
