Job Title: Front Of House

Job Description

The Front of House team is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. This includes greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately and efficiently, serving food and drinks, handling payments, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating a positive first impression by greeting customers warmly and providing excellent customer service.
  • Taking orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system, ensuring that all orders are correct and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Serving food and drinks to customers at the counter and/or tables, ensuring that all orders are served promptly and with a smile.
  • Handling payments and providing correct change, while also maintaining accurate cash handling procedures.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across the front of house, including tables, counters, and customer areas, to ensure a clean and safe environment for our customers.
  • Refilling condiments, restocking service areas, and monitoring supply levels to ensure that we have everything needed to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Communicating effectively with kitchen and barista staff to ensure smooth service, and assist in setting up and closing down the café as needed.
  • Providing exceptional customer service by handling customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally, and promoting menu items and upselling where appropriate.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation and presentation, with an understanding of how to create visually appealing dishes and drinks.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods, with a willingness to work in a dynamic and physically demanding environment.
