About the Role

Belgravia Leisure is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our community engagement initiatives. As the Head of Community Engagement, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that promote community connections and foster a sense of pride of place in our centres.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Regional Manager to develop and coordinate programs that meet the diverse needs of our communities.
  • Provide leadership and support to a team of subject matter experts in areas such as Health & Wellbeing, Aquatics, Community Development, and Sporting Competitions.
  • Drive innovation and ensure alignment to industry best practice in community engagement and program development.
  • Maximise holistic health and wellness outcomes for the community through effective retention strategies.
  • Ensure all deliverables are completed to a high standard, within the required timeframe and to budget.
  • Provide strategic insights, reporting, and improvement strategies through business analytics.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in sport/recreation management, business, or a related field.
  • Experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Successful track record in delivering improvements in health and social outcomes, including increased participation levels in sport and activity.
  • Leisure industry experience.
  • Previous experience working with a local Council or government entity is desirable but not essential.
