Project Manager Opportunity

This role involves delivering capital works projects from concept through to completion, ensuring compliance with Council standards, timeframes, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage implementation and contribute to project initiation and design aligned with strategic plans.
  • Oversee construction delivery via contractors, conducting site inspections and ensuring project governance.
  • Perform contract administration including acting as Superintendent's Representative and chairing project control groups and project status meetings.
  • Develop tender documentation, lead evaluations, and manage contractor performance.
  • Track project costs, timeframes, and risks using integrated scheduling tools like MS Project.
  • Lead and mentor project team members to foster capability and performance.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing complex multidisciplinary projects.
  • Expertise in contract management, project planning, budgeting, and risk mitigation in the public sector.
  • Proficiency in MS Project or similar project tools, with strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • A Class C Driver's Licence and WHS construction induction certificate (White Card).
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills for diverse stakeholder engagement.
