Electronics Maintenance Specialist

The role of Electronics Maintenance Specialist plays a pivotal part in the upkeep of our advanced naval systems. As an integral member of our technical team, you will provide expert support for testing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading various electronic equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide platform- and equipment-specific support to sustainment teams and associated maintenance activities
  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on electronic/electrical equipment, from deeper maintenance to component level
  • Fault-find and repair electronic/electrical equipment
  • Produce technical reports and testing procedures, review, and maintain technical documentation
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to ensure successful support and maintainability of equipment
Required Skills and Qualifications:

You will need to possess relevant skills and qualifications in electronics engineering, including but not limited to:

  • Certificate III in Electronics and Communications Engineering (or related discipline) – essential
  • Certificate IV in Electronics and Communications Engineering (or related discipline) – desirable
  • Industry experience in a similar engineering environment, supporting medium subsystems or groups of smaller subsystems and/or equipment
  • Experience in conducting maintenance and repairs to systems
  • Adequate technical experience in maintenance, repairs, modifications, installations, and set-to-work tasks, particularly in domains such as command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence systems (C4I), combat management systems, command support systems, and electromechanical and hydraulic systems
