
Recovery Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Recovery Specialist to join our team in Rockingham. The successful candidate will provide counseling and case management services to individuals impacted by addiction, helping them rebuild their lives and take their next steps forward.
About the RoleThe Recovery Specialist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive intake and risk assessments using evidence-based tools, providing one-on-one support through crisis intervention and case management, and helping clients set and achieve personal recovery goals through practical and therapeutic support.
- Create a safe, non-judgmental space where participants feel heard and supported.

- Collaborate with housing, justice, mental health and other services to ensure holistic care.
- Support clients as they transition out of services with dignity and purpose.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree with relevant experience, or associate diploma with substantial experience, or qualifications in more than one discipline, or less formal qualifications with specialised skills sufficient to perform at this level.

- Degree qualification in social work, social science, psychology, counselling or related field (Desirable).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in complex case management and outreach support services.
- Experience in the AOD sector is an advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience to support junior staff.
- Experience with client advocacy and working in partnership with others.
- An understanding of minimising risk in the workplace and adherence to WHS requirements.
