About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cancer Care Pharmacist to join our team at GenesisCare. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing specialist clinical pharmacy services to patients receiving treatment at our medical oncology centres.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispense medication, including chemotherapy, to patients in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct clinical reviews of treatment orders in MOSAIQ to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Approve chemotherapy orders for preparation or supply, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Release aseptically prepared products, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Manage inventory and process pharmacy invoices, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Provide medication counselling and participate in pre-admission clinics, promoting patient education and empowerment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to GenesisCare's governance activities, promoting medication safety and Quality Use of Medicines.
  • Ensure all administrative and documentation requirements are completed in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements
  • General unrestricted pharmacy registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Minimum of three years of clinical pharmacy experience, preferably in an oncology/haematology setting.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate clinical pharmacy services and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work across all sites in the greater Sydney area.
