Job Description

We are seeking an experienced clinical pharmacist to join our team at the Northern Beaches Hospital, located in Frenchs Forest, Sydney. As a clinical pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive range of pharmacy services to outpatients and inpatients, ensuring the quality use of medicines within the hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide efficient clinical pharmacy services to inpatients or outpatients as part of the rotational roster
  • Conduct pharmaceutical admission and discharge reconciliations, monitor medication outcomes, and ensure quality use of medicine is upheld
  • Work cooperatively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team and provide advice regarding patient care
  • Mentor and clinically supervise pharmacy students, interns, and other pharmacy team members
  • Contribute to training and educational sessions for pharmacy, nursing, medical staff, and allied health professionals
  • Support the quality use of medicines by participating in projects, audits, working groups, or committees as required
  • Contribute to our 7-day roster, including flexible hours, on-call service, and reduced weekend and public holiday services
About the Hospital

The Northern Beaches Hospital is a 488-bed hospital that provides care to both public and private inpatients and has outpatient services such as dialysis and cancer care. The hospital has a 50-bed Emergency Department, 20-bed ICU, 14 operating theatres, 2 cardiac catheter labs, and 4 procedural rooms.

About the Team

The offices and main dispensary for Epic Pharmacy Northern Beaches are situated in the foyer of the hospital and employ a team of more than 50, including pharmacists, interns, residents, and technicians. Our team is split between operational and clinical services to ensure our patients receive exceptional clinical service across all wards of the hospital.
