Job Opportunity

We are seeking a professional to assist in the delivery of core functions including early intervention, injury management, managing employee incapacity, workplace rehabilitation and wellbeing.

This role plays a vital part in reducing workplace risk and injury by providing expert technical support, strategic guidance and advice to internal and external stakeholders to support staff recovery and return to work.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the department's early intervention framework to minimise the impact and duration of emerging symptoms of injury or illness with the aim to reduce workplace risk and employee absenteeism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver early intervention services to support employees experiencing injury or illness.
  • Take a proactive approach in contacting medical practitioners to influence, negotiate and facilitate return to work.
  • Develop and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of the department's employee wellbeing and support program.

Qualifications & Specialist Expertise

A tertiary qualification in an allied health background is highly desirable. The successful candidate should have extensive experience in managing complex injury management cases.

Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and regulations is essential.
