The Opportunity: We're seeking a skilled and analytical professional to join our Group Supply Chain team in North Sydney. As a Category Specialist, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality category analysis, actionable data insights, and supporting end-to-end tender administration (Source to Contract). Your expertise will drive smarter sourcing decisions, reduce supplier risks, and create value across a diverse supplier base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed spend analysis, market research, and supplier performance reviews.
  • Deliver reports and insights to enhance category strategies and sourcing decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to drive cost savings and supplier consolidation.

You'll leverage tools like Excel, Power BI, Coupa, and SAP Ariba to extract and analyze procurement data. You'll provide meaningful insights for supplier segmentation and risk mitigation, and collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver tailored solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Proven experience in procurement, category management, or data analytics
  • Strong analytical skills and Excel/Power BI proficiency
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong time management and project coordination experience
  • Experience with sourcing events and contract administration
  • Familiarity with procurement systems (Coupa, SAP Ariba)
