Professional Category Strategist

The Role:
As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies across Australia and New Zealand. You will lead the development of annual brand plans, including product launch calendars and sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track and report on category performance across multiple channels, markets, and segments, ensuring alignment with set KPIs.
- Negotiate trading terms with brands and review agreements to ensure optimal assortment and productivity.
- Develop annual brand plans, including product launch calendars and sales targets, ensuring a relevant and productive assortment for each brand.
- Manage new sell-in processes, data validation, and submission for brands, as well as digital brand and category pages.
- Plan and secure key animation slots for brands, negotiating check-out sampling and in-store mechanics/promotions to drive sales.
- Monitor and measure assigned brand performance against category sales and profitability benchmarks, conducting half-yearly rationalization of brands and assortment.
Requirements:
- At least 8 years of Account/Brand Management experience, ideally from the beauty/fashion industry.
- Bachelor's Degree in business or Marketing.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence.
- Strong analytical skills and result-oriented approach.
