Mid-Senior Social Worker - Remote Island

The Talent Quarter is seeking a skilled and experienced social worker to join our team on a remote island off the coast of Australia. As a mid-senior level social worker, you will work within a small multi-purpose facility that comprises a 14-bed aged care facility and a 7-bed acute setting.

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate social worker who has experience working in rural generalist social work. You will work autonomously and efficiently within a small multi-disciplinary team, providing high-quality care to clients across various settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychosocial support to clients and their families
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Work closely with clients to address complex issues such as domestic violence, grief and loss, and family dynamics
Essential Criteria:
  • AASW eligibility
  • Strong aged care background with experience working with clients over 65 years old
  • Experience working in generalist social work and hospital settings
  • National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
  • Covid-19 vaccination
