ACAS Clinical Aged Care Needs Specialist

Description:

The Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS) plays a vital role in providing high-quality care for older individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hold relevant tertiary qualifications as per clinical discipline and be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency or have eligibility to join the relevant professional body.
  • Proven exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce precise and clinically sound reports within set timelines.
  • Have experience working in aged care settings and be able to conduct comprehensive assessments, formulate, and implement effective care plans for older people.
  • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of My Aged Care programs and services, with the ability to utilize this expertise to assess and support complex aged care presentations.
Requirements:
  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Achieve:

By joining the ACAS team, you will become part of a dynamic unit providing aged care assessment across various sites. The Northern Sydney Local Health District offers excellent education and ongoing clinical supervision.
