Become a Data Governance Expert and Play a Key Role in Embedding our Enterprise-Wide Framework and Standards.

Job Description

This role involves supporting Data Owners and Stewards in understanding and aligning with internal policies and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Implementing and Continuously Improving the Data Governance Framework, Including Associated Policies, Standards, and Processes.
  • Maintaining and Evolving Key Governance Assets Such as the Business Glossary, Data Catalogue, and Data Dictionary.
  • Coordinating and Leading Data Quality Initiatives; Identifying, Escalating, and Helping Resolve Data Quality Issues Across Operational Teams.
  • Collaborating with Technical Teams to Ensure Governance is Embedded in Data Products, Pipelines, and Platforms.
  • Promoting Awareness and Adoption of Data Governance Practices Across the Business.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience with Microsoft Purview is Essential.
  • Previous Experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Analytics Roles.
  • A Strong Understanding of Data Governance Frameworks and Practices, Including Data Classification, Metadata Management, Data Quality, and Sensitive Data Labelling.
  • Hands-On Experience with SQL, ETL Processes, and Data Pipeline Development.
  • Solid Understanding of Data Platforms Such as Databricks, and Integration with BI/Reporting Tools.
  • Confidence in Profiling Data and Identifying Root Causes of Data Issues.
