Key Data Governance Consultant Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned data governance consultant to join our team and make a lasting impact on our organization's data management capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures that drive business value and support informed decision-making. They will be well-versed in industry best practices (e.g., DAMA DMBOK) and possess excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework that aligns with organizational goals and objectives
  • Design and document policies, procedures, and guidelines for data management, including data quality, security, and retention
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define roles and responsibilities, and ensure effective data governance
  • Provide training and support to help the organization adopt and adhere to the new data governance framework

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance consulting or a related field
  • Proven track record of implementing successful data governance frameworks and improving data management capabilities
  • Strong understanding of industry best practices (e.g., DAMA DMBOK), data governance principles, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
